Received his 2nd Care Package

He got his 2nd care package which was the Christmas Care Package. I am thinking about sending another one since that one came so early. I will be preparing that one and sending it on December 4th.

My husband loved that care package so much. He cried. I thought that he would have got mad at me because he told me not to send him a care package at all. He couldn't wait to call me today. He truly appreciated it . I was all smiles when I heard him say it. I just so happy that he liked it. He read everything except the messages on the Christmas Tree. I specifically told him not to open anything until Christmas Day but of course him being my husband he don't listen. lol

In the care package I sent him a calendar where I wrote different things on certain dates that were important to us. I sent him a foot massager because his feet hurt a lot. I sent some kool aid singles. & Christmas cards from me, my parents, my brother, and my sister. The cards from my family is what really made him cry. He said he truly appreciate my family. I'm happy that he is happy.

Unedited: If You Ain't 1st Cav, You Ain't S***!!!

Would this piss you off? Would it make you one of those type of people who say things like "they are all in the same Army, no unit is better than the next". Would you feel offended by it?

I personally don't think anything of it. I can see the guys now from different units saying my unit is better than yours. Of course, guys joke like that because my husband's dad took pride in his unit and my hubby don't seem to care about his unit although his unit is 1st Cav. lol

So how do you feel about this. Are you one of THOSE type of people? Or do you think it's just an Army thing?

Sent off Christmas Care Package

I mailed off his Christmas Care Package today and it was packed in the post office. I was like wow. lol Let's c how long this one takes to get to him.
I shipped this one in a  large flat rate priority box.

Again, he doesn't know that I am sending a care package. He only think that I am sending him a Christmas Card. lol I hope he like it. Now I'm getting excited about doing the Valentine's Day Care Package. So so so many ideas for that one. I will be posting ideas later.

Recieved his 1st Care Package today!!!

He got his first care package today! I'm so excited! He really liked it. I told him not to open up the card until Thanksgiving, but of course open the card as soon as he got it. lol He never ever do right when it comes to waiting.

Care Package #1

Yay! Care Package Time!!!
We are on a very tight budget therefore I had to manage money and buy the items at the cheapest price. Mailing the care package off cost more than the items inside.Well this care package really didn't have a theme because I didn't know that I could get creative with the boxes until I looked online and saw all the unique care packages.
This care package include the necessary items:

  • eye drop
  • Febreeze
  • Lysol
  • Lysol Wipes
  • Vaseline
  • Advil
  • Razors
  • Tooth brush
  • Tooth paste
  • Lip Balm
  • First Aid Kit
  •  Baby wipes
  • Kleenex
  • Nail Clipper
  • Batteries
And a Thanksgiving Card.

That was suppose to be the only thing in the care package, but he wanted his blanket from his mom's house. So I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy a bigger box just to include the blanket. Also he needed some thick socks because his feet gets cold during the night. Of course, we couldn't just send socks without some slippers. So we sent that too. Sadly he has not receive the care package yet so I'm hoping that he doesn't read my blog before he receive the care package.

Being that I couldn't send the care package off in a flat rate box it will take longer to get there. That sucks. I sent the first care package off on Nov. 5, 2011 and it cost $32.65. I bought the box to send the items in from Wal-Mart for only 58 cents. So the second care package may make it there before this one. The second care package does have a theme and it is all boxed up and ready to go. I will be sending it off tomorrow. Hopefully it makes it there before Christmas.. It's a Christmas care package. He doesn't know that I'm sending a care package. He only knows that I am sending a Christmas card. lol He will appreciate it. I hope. I told me not to send him one though, but he wants his mom to send one. I will be posting care package #2 soon. But now is a little bit too early. lol sorry ladies.

xoxo, Nitra

My husband will be considered a veteran once he get back from Afghanistan. I am pretty sure that there are others that feel the same way about their loved one as these words that I am about to write:

You'll never know how much pride I hold in my heart for the person you are and the things you do--for your strength, courage, and determination, your accomplishments and your dreams...
You'll never know how much I need you in my life-through the best of times, the worst of times and all the times in between...
I love you with all my heart-
You'll never know how much.

Happy Veterans Day!

Love, Nitra

Hey everyone! I want to say thanks to those of you that found this blog to be a little bit interesting. Thank you for following me. I do apologize that I haven't been posting. I have so much stuff to post, but I feel like its so old that I shouldn't post it. Ugh. What to do..what to do? Should I? or Shouldn't I? lol

I didn't post Halloween pictures, the first time I got to see my husband since he been in Afghanistan, day out shopping, or OMG my hair. My hair looks horrible.

Do any of you all know any good hair stylist in Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, or Fort Hood, TX? I need my hair done asap. Help Me!!!

Well an update with me I quit my job because it sucked and the manager pissed me off. I couldn't really handle that job not with my husband gone. The customers really got to me simply because I wasn't focus on them I was focus on my husband and that really took its toll on me. It just took one small thing to tick me off to make me leave.
School: I tried to do my classes, but they only offered 2 this semester so I decided not to. Although I also had problems with MyCAA because I really don't understand how it works. I have to ask question. I'll be starting school in January now. Being that they don't have the major that I want to take I have to settle for Office Technology.
So I have just been have been hanging out with the new friends that I made since I been here. It really helps take my mind off worrying about if my husband is okay, but he still ends up on my mind no matter what. I don't think I have ever talked, bragged, or thought about him as much as I have since he been gone. OMG I truly miss him.
Now he is hassling me about getting a new job. I am on a job hunt now because he think that I am wasting my life by doing nothing. So I have to find a job. Yeah I know he cares... Army stories are ruining us. Ladies if you don't understand let me elaborate. The stories where the wives cheat while their husbands are deployed. My husband is so paranoid he thinks that I am going to cheat on him. I tell him over and over every single day that I'm not doing anything, but because of those stories and his dreams he is having a hard time believing me.
Well the holidays and our first year of marriage is ruin. Thanks Army! (FYI I was being sarcastic).

On a brighter note I was finally able to see my hubby since he been gone. This is when we used Yahoo Messenger. Now we use Skype. Thank God for Skype. We were not members of Skype until now. We truly appreciate it. It's much easier for the both of us.

Well ladies, I promise I want leave you hanging like that again. I'll update more often. Love ya lots, Army Wife
